Day 2 June 26th
Today has finally arrived after 18 months of waiting. Everyone was awake by 4am this morning and we were in the car by 5am. Traffic to the airport was not a problem so we made it by 6am. We have not traveled since the new liquid ban so we were unsure as to the time required for check-in. It took about 45 minutes from the time we stood in line to check our bags until we made it through the security check and on our way to the gait. We only had 45 mins to wait so a little breakfast and we were on the plane. Flight was on time and our stop in Houston was a nice break. It was actually raining on the ground in Houston but stopped by the time we took off. Flight to Orlando was quick and uneventful. We got into Orlando at 5:30pm. We are staying at the Hyatt inside the airport since this has been a really long day for all of us. We were able to walk off the plane and proceed to the hotel lobby to check in. The bell staff went down to baggage claim and delivered our bags to the room. The Orlando airport is amazing. They have a mall right inside the airport. We had dinner at Chili’s which is also in the airport along with Macaroni Grill. It was a nice way to wind down after a long day. The kids went back to swim in the pool which was located on the roof of the hotel so we had a great view of planes landing and taking off. We all went to bed around 10pm since tomorrow will be our first really big day.

Day -1 Final Packing
Woke up at 3:45am this morning in preparation for Eastern time. I have been getting up 15 minutes early everyday culminating tomorrow since we have to get up at 3:30am to make it to the airport by 6am. Woke the girls up at 5:30am today and it was not a pleasant site. Cherie has done another wonderful job organizing and packing. I have been responsible for planning our itinerary on how to cover WDW in 4 days. (LOL) Almost everything is packed with only a few last minute items needing to be stowed later today. Waiting for my 24hour window to get boarding passes this morning. That will be the last official duty prior to leaving.
